In February 2009, sitting with my dad over lunch, talking business, he asked what happens to scrap auto parts. Ah ha moment! There's a business! What did I do? What any entrepreneur would do; grabbed my laptop, a notebook, and for 18 hours a day, surviving on coffee and cereal, got to work, and within a week, my business model for the automotive service industry was born. By 2011 we were servicing hundreds of dealerships and repair facilities in So. Cal, Las Vegas and Phoenix metro, producing close to 810 tons of scrap metal per month. We were doing well, but I couldn't get it out of my head: why can't we make useful things from the scrap metal. Ah ha! In 2021, that part of the business was sold to a man with three boys, whom he can now send to college; the first members of a large family to graduate. Now, American Metal Garage designs and produces customized products for the grill master, camper and overlander and craft beer enthusiast. Thank you for coming in and supporting this ride.
